The Executive Team
WestCana has assembled a world-class team with decades of industry experience in various Support Service settings. The Executive Team consists of the President & Chief Executive Officer, Executive Vice President, and Vice President Strategy & Business Development. This Executive Team directs the overall corporate strategy and works with the operations teams to oversee the day to day business.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Art provides strategic planning and operational support to the group of companies and strives to make any one of the Forster Group of companies an “Employer of Choice” for quality, dedicated hospitality and health care professionals. Art brings over 30 years’ experience in the industry having successfully led and managed food service, housekeeping, and maintenance services in long term care, airports, hotels, restaurants, corrections and post-secondary food services.
Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President, Yasser Barsoum has been with the group of companies since August 2006 and brings more than 20 years of diverse international management experience. Before assuming his current role as Executive Vice President, Yasser held a variety of positions with major global brands.
The Operations Team
Reporting to the Executive Team is the Operations Team. WestCana Operations Managers are assigned a number of locations with the primary responsibility being to ensure organizational effectiveness by providing leadership, mentorship, education, and support to each of the sites. Another member of the team includes a Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager responsible for ensuring all aspects of quality and compliance standards are met through regular site-level audits and education.
Head Office Support
WestCana also offers Head Office support through a team that includes departments such as Human Resources, Payroll, Accounting, Marketing, WorkSafe Claim Management, and Occupational Health & Safety.
