Meet WestCana's executive team.
WestCana is supported by experienced leaders across the Forster Group of companies. The executive team sets service expectations, supports client relationships, and works with operations teams so each site has the structure it needs to perform.
Art Forster
CEO
Art provides strategic planning and operational support to the group of companies and works to make the Forster Group an employer of choice for dedicated hospitality and health care professionals.
He brings more than 30 years of industry experience leading food service, housekeeping, and maintenance services in long term care, airports, hotels, restaurants, corrections, and post-secondary food services.
Art is a graduate of the Hospitality Management Program from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and completed the Provincial Instructors Diploma Program and a Diploma in Adult Education from Vancouver Community College.
Yasser Barsoum
President
Yasser has been a critical player in the development and success of the group of companies, helping guide growth across organizations that now employ thousands of people.
He brings broad international management and finance experience, including earlier roles with Heineken International, Orix Leasing, Hughes Inteq, and KPMG.
Yasser is a Certified Management Accountant and Certified General Accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce.
Rebecca Jarvis, RPN
Vice President of Operations
Rebecca Jarvis is Vice President of Operations for Pro Vita Care Management, WestCana Services, and Care at Home Services. A Registered Psychiatric Nurse from Alberta and a graduate of the Douglas College Psychiatric Nursing Program, she maintains active registration and has completed advanced coursework in psychiatry and health-care management.
Rebecca joined Pro Vita in 2004 as a Director of Care in a mental health facility. She later became Operations Manager and Senior Operations Manager, providing corporate oversight and hands-on support to site leaders in Complex Care and Assisted Living.
Her clinical grounding, operational depth, and human resources experience help keep services reliable, standards practical, and teams supported.
Robin Langner
Senior Operations Manager
Robin has been with the Forster Group since 2001 and has served as Senior Operations Manager since 2019. He supports WestCana homes across British Columbia and Alberta, working with site leaders and clients to strengthen service delivery, compliance, and operational consistency.
His background spans high-end restaurants, wineries, convention centre hospitality, and seniors' care support services. A CSNM member and former Executive Chef, Robin brings deep food service and hospitality experience to Dietary, Housekeeping, Laundry, Maintenance, and Reception operations.

Reporting to the executive team is an operations structure that supports site managers, frontline teams, compliance, quality assurance, and head office functions.

Compliance and quality assurance support helps ensure standards are met through site-level audits, education, and operational review.

WestCana is supported by head office teams across human resources, payroll, accounting, marketing, WorkSafe claim management, and occupational health and safety.
