We pride ourselves on being a full-service organization and have developed a Group of Companies to accomplish this. WestCana works in conjunction with three affiliate companies that are operated together under the same ownership to achieve one goal; Pro Vita Care Management, Care At Home Services and Pro Administration Services. This group of companies create a ‘One Stop Shop’ for our clients.

Pro Vita Care Management (Pro Vita)

Pro Vita specializes in providing contract care services to various Senior’s Homes. Some areas of our expertise include Long Term Care, Mental Health and Assisted Living residences. Pro Vita was started in 2006, and has almost ten years’ experience in the industry, including providing the complex care, administration and management of private facility(s), as well as development and re-development of new and existing facility(s). Pro Vita operates in over 20 different homes throughout the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island, employing over 2,500 employees. We provide a range of disciplines including Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Care Management Professionals, Resident Care Aides, Recreation/Activity Personnel, Rehabilitation Assistants, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers. We provide services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Care At Home Services

Care At Home Services has two separate but overlapping branches that provide:

  • Support to our Pro Vita facilities through a 24/7 Call Center to manage and replace shifts. The Call Center frees up the site leadership so they can spend more time with the employees and residents. The time typically spent on scheduling is now spent supporting the staff, spending one-on-one time with residents, assisting with assessments, and working on Continuous Quality Improvement measures.
  • Community Care, which allows elders to stay at home longer, as well as provide care to those that may need temporary assistance. There is no specific type of client that our Community Care team offers service to, as our professional and highly trained staff is prepared for any type of services required. Where we do not already have a ‘perfect fit’ for a client request, our Human Resources team will recruit to a client’s specific needs. Being able to provide flexibility in our service offerings guarantees that all persons within the community are provided the care that they need, when they need it; regardless of the depth of their temporary personal challenges.

Pro Administration Services

Manages the Administrative functions for the group and diligently works to ensure that employees and management are supported at all times. Pro Administration provides flawless service and dedicated staff to allow Operations to focus on each individual facility and the staff and residents within. Pro Administration manages the ‘behind the scenes’ tasks, such as:

  • Accounting Services
  • Human Resources/Benefits Administration
  • Marketing
  • Office Management
  • Payroll Management
  • WCB Claims and RTW / SAW programs
